Mendy Pound is a Sugar ARTIST and SCULPTOR BASED IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA
Having 24 years experience as a Pastry Chef, Mendy has worked in resorts, boutique hotels, owned a cake studio in Los Angeles, as well as teaching sugar art and wedding cake design at Le Cordon Bleu, College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Johnson and Wales University, and has studied pastry and sugar art abroad in Vienna, Austria and Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Mendy has made creations for clients such as Betty White, Tori Spelling, Patricia Heaton, Pati Stanger, David Tutera, Moni Love, Diane Valentine, Bravo, We TV, Style Network, E! TV, and Animal Planet to name a few.
After years of focusing solely on pastry and edible sculpture, Mendy has recently explored other mediums such as foam, clay and resin. She continues to learn about many forms of sculpture, and is working toward her Masters in Sculpture from SCAD University in Atlanta where she is currently living.
